Data Retention Policy — Loviqo Customer Hub

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Loviqo retains personal data only while it is needed for a defined service, transaction, support, security or compliance purpose. The schedule below is the default application policy; a shorter period applies where deletion is requested or the underlying purpose ends sooner, unless retention is required by law or necessary to preserve transaction integrity.

Timed retention

Feature data

Wishlist, Rewards, gifting, Product Vault, returns-related, automation and similar customer-linked feature records are retained while the merchant uses the relevant Loviqo capability and the records remain necessary to provide it. They are subject to customer-redaction and shop-redaction workflows and are not retained merely for advertising or unrelated analytics.

Transaction and financial integrity

Records needed to reconcile purchases, refunds, rewards redemptions, Store Credit or other financial/lifecycle events may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to preserve transaction integrity, resolve disputes and meet applicable accounting or legal obligations. Customer identifiers and free-text personal content are minimized or removed when they are no longer required and when redaction obligations apply.

Shopify privacy events

Authenticated customers/redact events delete or anonymize applicable customer-linked Loviqo data. Authenticated shop/redact events delete tenant-scoped Loviqo data. These event-driven deletion rules override the ordinary timed schedule where they require earlier deletion.

Backups

Managed infrastructure may retain rolling backups or historical storage for a limited provider-controlled period. Application-level deletions are reflected in active data immediately and age out of provider backups according to the infrastructure provider’s retention lifecycle.

Review

The retention schedule is reviewed when Loviqo adds a new data category or feature. New processing must define a purpose and retention rule before public release.
